The Scriptures
We believe the Scriptures are the inspired word of God and written through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. Both Old and New Testament are without error in the original manuscripts and are the supreme authority in all matters.
The Trinity
We believe in one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Father
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He infallibly ordains all that shall come to pass, that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is true God and true man, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He died on the cross, a sacrifice for our sins according to the Scriptures. Further, He rose bodily from the dead and ascended into heaven, where at the right hand of the Majesty on High He is now our High Priest and Advocate, and in the Person of the Holy Spirit, He indwells the believer.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit Who indwells every believer in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, regenerate, seal, guide, and instruct the believer for life and service.
Man
We believe man was created in the image of God but fell into sin and is therefore lost and without hope, and only through regeneration by the Holy Spirit can salvation and spiritual life be obtained.
Regeneration
We believe that man was created by God in His own image; that he sinned and thereby incurred physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God; that as a consequence, all human beings are born with a sinful nature and are sinners by choice and therefore under condemnation. We believe that those who repent and forsake sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and become new creatures, delivered from condemnation and receive eternal life.
We believe the shed blood of Jesus Christ and His resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ are born of the Holy Spirit and thus become children of God.
The Church
We believe the true Church is composed of all such persons who are regenerated by the Holy Spirit through saving faith in Jesus Christ, are united together in the Body of Christ of which He is Lord and Head. Only those who are thus members of the true Church shall be eligible for membership in the local church. Every local church has the right under Christ to decide and govern its own affairs.
Ordinances
We believe water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are ordinances to be observed by the Church during this age.
Christ’s Return
We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that this has a vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.
Last Things
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the dead, of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord, and of the unbeliever to judgment and eternal separation from God.
